Resident Evil 7 Biohazard Is Coming To Apple’s iPhone, iPad, And Mac On July 2, Will Be Supported On A17 Pro And M1 Chipsets

Another Capcom title is coming to the iPhone, iPad, and Mac, suggesting that Apple and the game developer have a long-term partnership as more titles are going to be ported to multiple platforms. This time, Resident Evil 7 Biohazard will arrive for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, along with any other iPad or Mac that features the M1 or higher. What is strange about this announcement is that Resident Evil 7 Biohazard came before Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 4 Remake, and yet, the port is arriving last.

More details reveal that Resident Evil 2 Remake is also arriving on the iPhone, iPad, and Mac

Those who have yet to play the 2017 first-person survivor-horror have missed out severely because, in our review, we mentioned that Capcom delivered one of the finest gaming experiences after it thoroughly disappointed with the Resident Evil 6 launch that went against what the survivor-horror genre was all about. With the reboot, the Japanese video game company goes back to the roots of the spine-chilling atmosphere, and with the first-person perspective, Resident Evil 7 Biohazard provides a more immersive experience with a different setting and a brand new story.

In our previous reports, we stated that Resident Evil Village could achieve that 60FPS target on an iPhone 15 Pro Max, assuming you tweak a few video settings to obtain a more playable framerate. On an external monitor, it was demonstrated that the same game can be played at a 30FPS limit, with the resolution set to 1560 x 720. With Resident Evil 7 Biohazard being less demanding than Resident Evil Village, we will not be surprised to see that both the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max can deliver a stable framerate without compromising too much on the image quality.

If that was not enough, the post above also states that Resident Evil 2 Remake is in development for the iPhone, iPad, and Mac, but Capcom did not provide a launch timeline. Hopefully, both titles will arrive this year.
