Pixel 8 Pro Aces The Durability Test And Does Not Crack Under Pressure Like Its Predecessor

Now that the Pixel 8 Pro is finally landing in the hands of everyone who ordered their devices, it is safe to say that it’s time we also get to see just how durable the phone is. We all know that the Pixel 7 Pro was notorious for barely making it out of the bend test. As a matter of fact, the phone did suffer a pretty dangerous bend, which would easily take anyone’s confidence away from the phone. But if you have been waiting for the new Pixel to survive the test, you are in for luck because this is one of the strongest phones that we have seen lately.

The Pixel 8 Pro does not bend under pressure, but it does let out a funny creak

Our favorite pair of talking hands, and the man who clearly never misses a single wrist pronation or cable pull, is back with Pixel 8 Pro in the gorgeous Bay color and put the phone through its paces. These tests are generally painful to watch, especially when the phone does not survive. But the new Pixel, well, it doesn’t just survive but also aces the test. You can have a look at the video yourself.

As you can see, the Pixel 8 Pro survives the test as one should expect from a flagship phone. I did, however, end up laughing at the fact that the phone creaked while the force was being applied to it. But I can assure you that if there is no flex, you do not have to worry about the phone breaking in two. We have seen a lot of phones not surviving the test lately, so you would be good to go even if you decide to use your phone without any case on it. The point is that this is one durable phone, and you should not have to worry about it.

If you are looking for a Pixel phone that did not survive, look at what happened to the Pixel Fold or the Pixel 7 Pro from last year. Those phones didn’t make it through the bend test but don’t worry, the new Pixel 8 Pro survives, and even if you are going for the younger sibling, I can assure you that it won’t fail on you either.
