It’s good if you remember the phrase exactly as it was sent or received, but if not, then you will spend a lot of time going through the messages without knowing what you are up to. The easier way? Just search Whatsapp messages by date, and you are good to go.
Now, if you want to search for messages on WhatsApp by date, I would suggest that you use the latest version of the app. Stable or not, it does not matter because the update is now rolling out to everyone. Step 1: Open WhatsApp and go to the chat from which you want to get the message.
Step 2: Once you are in the chat, tap the three-dot menu on the top-right.
Step 3: Tap Search once you get to the menu.
Step 4: Now you will get the usual overlay allowing you to search messages, but you’ll find a Calendar icon on the right side of the screen. Tap that.
Step 5: Tapping on the icon will bring up the full calendar. Simply input the date, and you will get all the messages sent and received from that date.
That’s it, folks. Once you have entered the desired date, you will be able to go ahead and get all the messages that you received or sent on that specific date.
