Galaxy Z Fold FE And Galaxy Z Flip FE Are Releasing Later This Year, Chipset Information Unveiled

It has been some time since we started hearing that Samsung might be releasing an affordable version of the Galaxy Z Fold, as well as a more premium version of the device that will carry the Ultra moniker. And now it appears that we are actually getting closer to the release of the Galaxy Z Fold FE as new information about the phone has surfaced. It seems that aside from the Fold FE, there is also going to be a Galaxy Z Flip FE.

The Galaxy Z Fold FE and the Galaxy Z Flip FE will see Samsung branching out into more affordable foldable phones

A rumor coming out of China claims that Samsung will be launching the Galaxy Z Fold FE as well as the Galaxy Z Flip FE. Normally, I would have a hard time believing such rumors, but these devices have been making the rounds of the internet for some time and if anything, today’s update provides more foundation to the existence of these devices.

So now that we know that these devices exist, let’s have a look at what they are going to offer. When folded, the Galaxy Z Fold FE is going to measure 155.1 x 67.1 x 14.2 mm, and the Galaxy Z Flip FE will measure 165.2 x 71.9 x 6.9 mm when unfolded. The Flip FE is going to be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, and the Fold FE is going to be powered by either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy or the Exynos 2200. It is evident that the company is looking to keep the cost of both foldable phones down.

Samsung will be offering the Galaxy Z Fold FE in 12 and 16GB RAM variants, whereas the Galaxy Z Flip FE will only be offered in 8 gigs of RAM. Both devices could possibly have 256GB and 512GB options when you are looking at storage.

Normally, I would question such rumors, but this time I cannot help thinking that Samsung might actually bring out affordable foldable phones this year. The rumor also claims that the Galaxy Z Fold FE and the Galaxy Z Flip FE are going to be released later this year, which would mean that towards the end of this year since Samsung will not be releasing the devices alongside the main foldable lineup which is due in July this year.

Do you think an affordable Galaxy Z Fold FE and Galaxy Z Flip FE make sense, or should Samsung just focus on releasing higher-end foldable phones? Let us know what you feel about these devices in the comments below.
