If everything goes accordingly, we will see the Galaxy S24 series launching on January 17, 2024. So far, there have been a lot of details about the upcoming flagship, including how it will have AI-powered features and overall excellent specs, but the latest information we have received does not talk so much about the specs but a software feature by Instagram.
Samsung shows its dominance in the Android market as Instagram prepares an exclusive feature for Galaxy S24
Mobile developer and reverse engineer extraordinaire Alessandro Paluzzi discovered that Instagram is working on a new feature that would allow Galaxy S24 users to access Instagram cameras straight from the lock screen. This is not the first time we have seen such a feature. Galaxy S10, back in the day, had a dedicated Instagram tab inside its camera app that would allow you to access the camera right away.

Now, whether this feature will come to other Android devices is still a mystery, but given Instagram’s history, there is a chance that it might come to other phones, too. If that happens, there will be an official announcement, and we will let you know when that occurs.
Now, why Instagram and Samsung are working on this feature for the Galaxy S24 is unclear for the time being. What I am more interested in is seeing whether the feature uses the native Samsung camera app or Instagram’s own camera app – the former obviously being better than the later, so we will have to wait and see how that works out.
Considering how the Galaxy S24 is not that far, you can expect a lot more information coming out in the coming month or two, and we will be sure to let you know all about everything that we hear. So, until then, stay tuned for all the latest information.
