Apple released the first beta of its upcoming watchOS 11, macOS Sequoia, and tvOS 18 updates to the public a week after the company released the third developer beta, with new updates and additions. You have the option to download and install the latest build right now on your compatible Apple Watch and Apple TV devices.
Apple has released the first public beta of watchOS 11, macOS Sequoia, and tvOS 18 for all compatible devices
watchOS 11 is a major update as it will bring some of Apple’s AI features to the wearable, and other than that, the company has also improved the overall user experience. Apple has also seen fit to introduce new apps and changes to existing apps, which take better advantage of the bigger display of the wearable. If you are interested in trying out the latest update, you can do so by installing the first watchOS 11 public beta, which is comparatively more stable than the developer build.
You can download the beta by enrolling your Apple Watch on Apple’s beta software website. However, the update will not be available to you unless you update your iPhone to the latest iOS 18 public beta, which has also been recently released. Once you have completed the prerequisites, all you have to do is head to the Apple Watch app on your iPhone and navigate to General, then tap on Software Updates, Beta Updates, and tap on the new watchOS 11 Public Beta option.
watchOS 11 will add new widgets to the mix, including Translate and Shazam, and the platform will suggest relevant widgets based on time, date, location, and much more. There is also a new Vitals app that measures your health metrics. Apple has also implemented a new Training Load mechanism that measures the intensity and duration of the workouts. You can check out all the features in the latest watchOS 11 public beta.
Apple has also released the first public beta of macOS Sequoia, which includes features like iPhone mirroring and more. You can install the latest beta by enrolling your device on Apple’s beta software website. Once you do that, the update will be available in the Software Update section in System Settings. The update brings numerous new additions, including Apple Intelligence features, which will be available to all users later this year.
Other than watchOS 11, Apple has also released tvOS 18 public beta, which can be downloaded from compatible Apple TV models. The first thing you have to do is enroll your device into Apple’s public beta website. Then, head over to Settings, select System, tap on Software Updates, and toggle on the Get Public Beta Updates option. The beta will show up soon, so be sure to keep an eye out.
tvOS 18 will also bring some improvements to the platform, but the changes are minor in scale compared to other updates. For instance, the Apple TV app gets a new InSight feature, which gives users real-time information regarding the characters, music, and much more. There is also a new Enhanced Dialogue feature to boost vocal clarity using machine learning. You can check out the rest of the features in the latest tvOS 18 beta.
