A New Leak Shows OnePlus 13 And OnePlus 13R’s Camera Islands

OnePlus will be unveiling the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R later this year in China. The phones will debut in the domestic market, followed by an international release in early 2025. So far, there have been conflicting reports about how the phone is going to look, but today’s leak might add some more weight to the rumors that we have heard in the past.

OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R are going to launch later this year with a minor redesign

Yogesh Brar, a notable tipster, has shared an image showing the backs of both the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R. Now, this is something that I normally would not have paid attention to, but considering the credibility of the source, it is safe to say that this leak does have some weight to it.

As you can see in the picture above, the device on the right is the OnePlus 13, with its camera island moved to the center instead of the left. This conflicts with the previous render that we have seen, which shows that the camera island looks a lot like the one on the OnePlus 10 Pro. This image, however, shows the camera island looking much like the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. The OnePlus 13R, on the other hand, has a similar camera island to the OnePlus 10 Pro, and the one that showed up in the render earlier this month led me to believe that the leaked render belonged to the 13R and not the 13.

Whatever the case might be, I am actually happy with what the alleged OnePlus 13 camera island looks like. I do like symmetry, and a circular camera island placed dead center is always something that I can go for. However, considering how the leak is happening months before the official launch, which will likely be by the end of this year, I highly suggest you take this with a grain of salt. OnePlus phones are notorious for leaking, so we will surely get several glimpses of how the phones will look as we head closer to the official launch.
